I have probably bought close to 10 different ones over the years and this one stands heads and shoulders above the others. The common problems with other designs have varied from poor construction, e.g. the blades don't even line up exactly (Boots); the spring being weak or 'sticky' i.e. not smooth in operation; to the tip bending/blunting when I have dropped them onto the bathroom tiled floor (my fault admittedly...)These came with a protective sheath over the blades, so no more accidental tip damage if they fall off the cupboard shelf!! Great smooth action, precision blades offering clean, sharp cuts. Heavy, sturdy feel.
