Ultimate lip protection., 20 July 2009

I had constant trouble in the sun as it caused extremely bad herpes on my lips. I was recomendeded Uvistat by a friend who worked in a hospital department where they used it to protect patients lips undergoing ultra violet light treatment. Since then I have never had a problem except when I forget to apply it. It is preventative, soothing and brilliant. Unfortunately it is increasingly difficult to buy at pharmacists so discovering it on-line at a competative price has been wonderful.

I suffer from cold sores in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold. I went away for the first time in years to a hot country recently, and absolutely dreaded the fact that I would probably flare up with blisters. I bought this before i went, and used it regularly each day. I did not flare up or even have any sign at all of any blisters. Its also a first that I didnt burn. This product is absolutely brilliant, and I will be using this again and again!!! Highly recommended!!!

After researching I thought I'd try this out on an expiition to the High Atlas Mountains in Morroco. Very dry air at altitude.A very handy size to keep in your pocket and does the job very well. You do not have to put to much on as you can end up looking like you have white lipstick on as once on it lasts even when taking a drink of water. I would recommend this for outdoor persuits that need protection, I used it on my lips, noise and cheek bones as well as topping up protection on the top and back of my ears.
