A Few Key Tips Make All THe Difference, 5 Jun. 2013

I received this as a Bzz Agent and at first was a bit disappointed, I practiced and learnt a few key tips which have meant I've managed to achieve really good results and best of all whenever I wanted and in the comfort of home.

Be sure to heat the wax for at least 45 mins, I often leave it for over an hour while getting on with other things.

Try to keep the easy-wax plugged in or plug it back in between doing strips.

Reuse the wax strips, including both sides, although wait for the wax to dry on one side before flipping over.

A baby oil soaked cotton pad, baby wipes or johnsons pink face wipes have all dissolved the wax for me, just leave the cotton pad or wipe on the area for a few minutes and then wipe away.

Avoid waxing your under arms unless you have some help, because you will be bending your arms to apply the strips, hold the skin taught and wax it ends up a mess. Other areas can be done alone.

Me, after using this waxing kit.

Following the recommendations of others, I let it heat up for 40 minutes, not the 20 specified in the instructions. Even so the viscous wax didn't exactly glide on smoothly. It looked and felt more like applying melted bubble gum.

Now for the strips, you get a pack of 12 and they are cut to about 8" lengths. You can use both sides. These stuck to the bubble gum enthusiastically and came off without too much pain. Some hair came off too, but a lot didn't, despite me having 2 goes. Before you start checking to see if its a full moon, I'm not inordinately hairy.

Cleaning up with the wipes was effective, they have an oily coating of what felt like nail varnish remover (but wasn't) with a slight and not unpleasant floral smell.

When the swelling goes down I'll probably finish off with my usual method - a safety razor - cheap and quick even if not as smooth.

Having been sent the Veet as part of a BZZ campaign I was super excited to try a new way of hair removal. Little did I know I would be waiting 1 hour 5 minutes for the wax to warm up. I then used it on my bikini line unbeknown that it would bruise me and leave me with no confidence to use a wax product again.
