After trying a few previous versions of this product, I'm still completely unimpressed by the fact Veet don't seem to take any kind of customer advice and opinions about how shoddy their products are, don't change any of their products and then keep rereleasing the same item with a different design but the same formula which does not work. They simply do not care about their customers.

This thing takes about forty five minutes to heat the supplied wax up to any kind of spreadable texture and even then the wax is leaving all sorts of spidery-web trails whenever you lift it from the warmer. You apply the wax, leave it for a short bit then pull the hardened wax off.

In theory this is meant to take every hair from the applied area, in actuality, it only removes about five out of thirty hairs (regardless of the length), so you end up with patchy results, wax residue on the legs that take forever to pick off. After using this on my mother (I had just naired my legs)...

Quite possibly the most painful waste of time ever. Looks very professional when you open it and the instructions are pretty simple to follow. Open the lid, add the required number of wax discs, for example 4 discs for both half legs. Plug the (reasonably short cable) in put the lid back on and leave for 30 mins, stirring occasionally until the wax is melted. Apply the wax with the applicator, leave for 30-60 seconds and then remove. Very painful to remove and with very little hair removed. The scent was quite unpleasant also.

I have tried various waxing kits in the past and this product is slightly different in that the wax does not require any strips to remove from the skin - the wax becomes the strip.I found it took just slightly longer than 30 minutes to melt the wax 0 about 35 minutes - the smell is lovely as the wax melts - the whole room became scented.I needed the help of my daughter to provide a 3rd hand as I could not keep the skin taught whilst pulling the strip off - not going to lie - it smarts a bit!!! So I dread to think how much more painful it would have been without the 3rd hand!I prefer to use an epilator as the pain is over quickly and you get the same results of a week or two before any regrowth is noted - however an epilator does not create as much sticky mess and residue to remove from legs, container etc.Also you would need to ensure you had a supply of the wax - so further purchases would be necessary.
