Your hair will look good but feel horrible!, 3 Nov. 2016

I bought these chalks to cover the fading from my professionally coloured "mermaid hair". I have never used hair chalks before so I wasn't sure what to expect!

The chalks were each fairly small. I got them slightly damp and then pulled them through my hair. The chalk colours were quite vibrant and I could see the colours clearly. However, it hadn't occurred to me that the chalks would look so, well, chalky on my hair! My hair felt really dry with them on, and it was impossible to style or even brush my hair because it felt so dry. The chalk also make my hair go quite volumised and chunky, and it felt horrible and powdery. I left them in for about 4 days without washing (no need to worry about your hair looking greasy with these in!) and every day there were marks from the chalks on my clothing around the neckline, and on my neck. The marks on my face were hard to get out even with soap, using babywipes was the best method for me.

fantastic price for what you get. great range of colours, conveniently and neatly packaged. make sure you wet your hair first though otherwise it won't transfer - and although many hair chalk brands would advise against this due to the risk of staining, i did not experience this at all and there was not a trace of pigment after shampooing my hair (and my hair is bleached white). very vibrant, especially the blue chalks, and last a very long time (up to 3 days as long as you don't shampoo your hair). your hair might feel dry after applying these, but i have found this to be a temporary effect and can be alleviated by applying a small amount of argan oil to replenish some moisture and reduce frizz. straightening hair afterwards also helps a lot, particularly if your hair gets frizzy after chalk application. overall a great product and i have had a lot of fun with these.

Good value takes time to wash out and apply, 7 Jan. 2017

I used this and colour did take some time to apply to make it bright enough. I have blonde hair and it took multiple washes to get rid of the pink and it was still slightly pink for a few days after whereas the blue washed out fine
