I have done A LOT of research on vitamin C serums, I've tried many brands and even made my own. First of all let's get this straight. Most other brands will use MAP or SAP type vitamin C which are really gentle but won't do that much either. This one uses L-ascorbic acid as it's vitamin C which, trust me, is the type you want. You know it's the good stuff as it will tingle on your skin at first and if you get any on your lips it tastes of citrus. The other awesome thing about this serum is that aswell as L-AA it also contains vitamin E (tocopherol) and Ferulic acid. This combination has been proven in scientific studies to be a magic combination to dramatically improve skin, especially PIE/PIH (acne scars). Although it doesn't contain these ingredients at the precise quantities in these studies as this is patented by Skinceuticles and will set you back £60+ for a single bottle, this one is the only brand I have found on Amazon that does contain all three.

Loving this cleverly named C-Rum. I have tried *many* serums and this is one quality product with great ingredients. Firstly, I love the fact that it has no sulphates or parabens - a must for me.
Secondly, it is power packed with effective ingredients. A stabilised form of Vitamin C in combination with Ferulic Acid helps in the production of collagen (counteracting wrinkle formation), reversal of UV damage and the appearance of pigmentation. Hyaluronic acid is one of the best moisture boosters available today and Vitamin E is a wonderful topical antioxidant.
The bottle comes with a dropper so there you can control how much serum you use - a little goes a long way. It has a pleasant citrus smell and I didn't find it sticky at all. The colour is a milky white and the liquid glides onto the skin, absorbing instantly. There was no oily residue.
