It does warn up very high and very quick! I had to use the low temperature setting. I have already used it for few weeks, and so far I am happy with this thermal cap.The cable plug is US, so you need the UK adapter.

AVOID!! Poor quality and slow delivery., 27 Sept. 2014

Save your money, add £17 and instead invest in the look great heat wrap (which I've just ordered:)) The Vktech is too big, kept slipping over my eyes and generally felt uncomfortable to wear - having to sit in one place plugged into a dodgy looking electrical appliance stuck to my head did not do much for my relaxation levels either. After about 10 minutes it does heat up to a decent temperature but the heat source is greatest at the back of the head meaning that you'll probably end up with super conditioned hair in one section which defeats the object, especially for a black women such as myself who has thick afro hair at the back, but short, splitting, dry afro hair at the front - THE PART WHERE I NEED THE CONDITIONING HEAT MOST. I bought this as a present, my previous review is below. I did wonder why it was a pound or so more expensive via the new supplier but they now provide the plug adapter, very handy!

(previous review) Given the price, it does exactly what it says on the tin to to speak so I can't fault this product really.

The extras include an inner cap to put over your conditioned hair while under the steamer and a small drying towel/turban. The handy adjustment drawstring means you can adjust the cap to fit your head. I thought it wasn't hot enough and used it on the hotter of two settings but actually it reached it's optimum heat after about 5 mins so perhaps let it heat up before you sit under it. I was concerned it would act more like a drying cap but somehow, (whether it's due to the combo of heat and conditioner) it steams really well!

It only loses a star as the two pronged plug is not for U.K. sockets so I had to buy a U.S. to UK converter plug thingy which brought the...
