Not As Good As My Andis Masters From The USA, 14 Jan. 2014

First off, I am a black man from the US and I use clippers on a semi-professional basis (for the last 20 years). The primary purpose at this stage was to cut my own hair, as well as family members. I didn't want to outlay the money for the Osters here in the UK, since it's just a temporary move, but I wanted something that was on par with my Andis Masters (the standard). The things I look for in any clipper are (1) sharp, crisp cuts from the blades, (2) easy adjuster lever for fading, (3) a quiet motor, and (4) consistency from one cut to the next. The Andis Master ticks all the boxes (and more) and makes cutting a breeze. The Wahl professional Icon only ticks off 2 out of the 4 boxes and nothing more. It is (1) consistent and (2) relatively quiet (though not as quiet as the Master). These are better than the cheaper Wahl's I've had in the past (on the order of £20), but not by much.

Get set of pro clippers, far better than domestic ones, 28 May 2015

By far the best set of clippers I've used or bought. Was fed up of battery powered clippers losing charge & power, so opted for a pro set of mains ones.The motor is so powerful the unit kicks in your hand as it starts, the body has a good solid weighty feel and the blades are very well made and cut smoothly with no snagging of fine hair. The quality of the blades is just soooo far ahead of domestic grade clippers, it's well worth paying the extra.Came with a case, a little bottle of lube oil, cleaning brush and some plastic comb length guides.

I've been using this for the past 5 months, and it's a solid quality piece of equipment.From the research that i did, it seems that this is one of the best clippers. More powerful motor, and runs cooler.I have had no problem with the comb/attachment falling off, (and i use the large no.8 size attachment). It just stays on.My only criticism, is that it is a bit heavy, but it's not that bad. So it still gets five stars.
