Practically Essential Grooming Tool, 4 Sept. 2016

I've tried a couple of cheap trimmer/grooming gadgets before and they've proven too clumsy and limited to provide precise and reliable effects. This 14-in-one device is different, and much, much, superior in every conceivable way.

Wahl is a well-established manufacturer of hair grooming products - my hairdresser uses several of them - so I was keen to try this multi-groomer, and was not disappointed. It does pretty much anything you need it to do around the face, from trimming beards, stubble, moustaches and sideburns to removing visible nasal or ear hair, and it does so with far more accuracy and ease than previous products I've used. Well-built and comfortable to hold, it's a single solution to multiple problems.

Reasonably priced given its capabilities and quality, 13 Sept. 2016

I have quite a bit of faith in the Wahl brand having already owned a number of their products and found them to be reliable and long-lasting. This one seems to be of a similarly high standard and is a decent kit with plenty of attachments provided meaning that it’s possible to achieve all sorts of things with it, both on the head and the body. I’m currently sporting a beard so have been able to try it on my facial hair where I’ve found it easy to use, and I like that it gives good, accurate results. On the rest of my body the results have been good too with no uncomfortable snagging of hairs – just clean cutting.

It lasts well in-between charging, and I like that it comes with a practical bag to keep the kit in, unlike some others that I have had. The attachments are all of a good quality too, which makes a nice change since the plastic combs on some trimmers can be far less robust than these. I've used a Wahl beard trimmer for a while. I've always found them sturdy and reliable and this product lives up to expectations. Although the finish seems a little bit plasticky at first glance, it has excellent build quality and the curvy shape sits well in the hand. In use it is robust and consistent - for example trimming my wiry stubble to a neat and even standard requires just a few passes. It also comes with a nice fabric case, brush, oil and a near-bewildering variety of attachments. Naturally I'll probably only use a couple of them in day-to-day life but really, if you're looking for an all-rounder this is a great package.
