OK for what I wanted it for., 26 July 2014

I wanted something to thin my sideburns in between my rather infrequent visits to the barber, and to trim my eyebrows. This product is what I selected from a large number of similar items. One thing I learned when searching is that ones for trimming are called trimmers and ones for cutting hair are called clippers. However, although this one calls itself a trimmer, the instructions tell solely how to use it to cut hair. But read on.

The trimmer is very similar to what my barber uses for going round edges etc. and this one I have found makes a neat job of the ends of sideburns, while in conjunction with the supplied moustache comb it makes a very good job of my eyebrows. For that alone I feel it is worth its giveaway purchase price,

With a guide comb attached, the fine hair of my sideburns tends to be pushed aside as I run the trimmer up my them, so it only does half the job and I have to finish by tidying up with scissors. Nevertheless I find the result is better than...

The trimmer was a great surprise. Compact, easy to use and very usefull extras. Value for money, make no mistake. I have given it five star rating. I do have one wish though - that there was a setting of say 1 1/2, i.e. somewhere between the suplied 1 and 2 settings. GREAT BUY

Good - if it worked, 1 Feb. 2012

I bought this as a gift and they were happy with it after the first attempt. However, he only got to use it two more times before it packed in. So what we thought was a bargain turned out to be 3 expensive trims. Very disappointing.
