Absolutely fantastic.

I only tried this out of desperation. In the past I have paid as much as £50 for other models (Remington, Wahl, Phillips) , battery and mains operated, only to be totally disappointed. I bought this as a last resort, since I was tired of throwing away money, but it turns out the cheapest was the best!

- The unit's build is good.

- The motor is powerful.

- The cutting blades are excellent: no hairs pulled.

- The attachments do the job very well, and although are a bit flimsy, are more sturdy than that of far more expensive models. Hair is not just brushed around, but quite nicely guided to the cutting blades.

- The unit gets a bit warm to hold after prolonged use, but does not get too hot to hold.

- And amazingly, even with the powerful motor, the blades do not get hot! So no more burning my neck.

If this model were 10 times the price, I would say it was a good buy, given the other rubbish on the...

This replaced an older version bought in 1992 which had finally expired, and is just as good and looks just as well made. What's more all the old combs fit this one too - although they are not really needed because it comes with a comprehensive set.
