Great clippers!, 27 July 2015

i already have the Wahl Balding Hair Clipper so I was curious to see how this one performed.The clipper comes with four attachments, a comb, a pair of proper hairdresser scissors and a tiny bottle of oil all in a plastic box. The unit is reassuringly heavy and when powered on has a satisfying 'thunk' when it bursts into life. The Close Cut Hair Clipper feels heavier than the Balding clipper but has a better grip - the Balding clipper has a shiny surface that could make it slip when used..Performance wise though - it is on the same level as the Wahl Balding clipper. It does an excellent job in removing my tufts of hair without fuss. It feels as if this one is going to last a very long time - just like the Wahl Balding clipper. I would personally go for the Close Cut clipper as it's cheaper and offers the same performance as its more expensive brother.

Super close, powerful and efficient clippers which will last, 8 Aug. 2015

Does what it says and does it well - goes super close without an attachment, perhaps not as almost-razor-smooth as Wahl's balding clipper, but not far off. The difference between guardless on these and guardless on a standard set of clippers is probably a couple of days' hair growth. The almost zero-overlap blades are of the usual high Wahl standard, and the powerful motor means no sticking or jamming with these very efficient clippers. The chassis too feels sturdy - perhaps not quite a heavy-duty as some of Wahl's pro offerings like the aforementioned with a mixture of metal and plastic, but still, these are going to last.It's marketed as a clipper for all over buzzes, but it's equally good for extra close back and sides type cuts (you'll get a couple of extra days out of the cut at the super short length), as well as longer cuts - the attachements 1-4 are included, and it's a standard build, so you can purchase longer attachments too for other styles.

Best home clippers I've tried, super clean and very close cut., 27 July 2015

These Wahl close-cut clippers are fantastic, they are weighty compared to other brands but the rubber grip is superior to prevent slipping and the weight helps to maintain contact if one is trying to cut your own hair.

I've been cutting my husband's hair for years and more recently my brother's and father's hair and have always used wahl clippers after a few disasters with other brands as they are able to deal effectively with their different hair types.

These clippers feel weighty but controlled in the hand, and the rubberised grip means there is little slip at all compared to the smooth chrome finish of our other

Trying these out on my father and brother's hair the superior cut of these blades is apparent. My brother's hair is so thick and dense and only reluctantly cuts his hair...
