Wahl seem to have cornered the market in hair clippers; though other manufacturers may well make good clippers too. Wahl make a wide range of models, some apparently more rugged than others and aimed at the professional hair salon market but for home use these are quite solid looking and feel good in the hand. This set is comprehensive and includes a battery operated detail trimmer and full instructions on a disk. My only criticism is that you have to have very keen eyes to see the numbers on the many black plastic combs included with the set so it takes a while to find the right grade comb to use. If I was doing product improvement for Wahl I would suggest they find a way of getting the comb numbers bigger and in a colour that stood out. Overall I am very pleased with this kit and I would recommend it.

When you reach retirement age your previously friendly hairdresser no longer wants to know you.I didn't expect a professional job but my girlfriend managed to cut my hair good enough to pass muster.Having grown quite a bit my hair is due for another trim.That's £10 each time that I save so my Wahl hair clipper has almost paid for itself !!!!!I'm Wahl chuffed !!!

Great package (hard case) with lots of tools. Hair clipper works wonderfully for all kinds of hair (beard included). Detail trimmer seems fragile but it does the job - good for trimming eyebrows.Poor quality control: came with very misaligned (inclined) blades. Nothing I couldn't fix with a screwdriver, but it shouldn't came like that.
