A WONDERFUL non-multi function grooming tool that does just what it says it does, i.e. it trims stubble. Perfectly., 8 Aug. 2015

We own umpteen of the you-name-it-it-does-it supposed multi grooming tools, which have turned out to be jacks of all trades and masters of none. We were despairing of finding a replacement trimmer for a Phillips model that has worked perfectly for about 5 years, but that seems to now be holding its charge less - and this is it.

I knew from the brand name (used by hairdressers) that I'd be getting a decent product, but would it work on my 51yo hubby with a twisty, stubborn, grows-sticking-out goatee AND on my fashion-conscious 23yo who likes an all over stubble look? The answer is a resounding YES.

Hubby's goatee doesn't seem to grow straight, but the hairs grow sideways and grow down over his top lip, with a tendency to curl a lot, so he needs to keep on top of his grooming often, which can cause soreness. Fantastic trimmer. Gives a great trim in a very short space of time. Doesn't struggle to pick up any areas of facial hair as previous Phillips and Babyliss shavers have.Strong, well made shaver, decent components which do not suggest it will break easily. Plastic components are not flimsy.Great battery life, no pulling of hair on the face.Reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the gaps between each setting for beard length should really be halved to give more options, they are further spread than previous trimmers.Great buy for the price.

A very good choice, 10 Dec. 2014

This is my first stubble trimmer so I wasn't sure what to expect from it. I had done some research before choosing and decided that I didn't need all of the bells-and-whistles such as laser guidance (yes, some trimmers do have this!) but still wanted a decent, useable trimmer. I finally picked this one and bought it from Amazon.

It is a good little unit which works well and is simple to use. Personally, I'd have preferred a slightly wider cutting edge so that more trimming could be done at once, but it still does a good job. In fact the smaller size does have some advantages as it allows easier and more accurate detailing, for example tidying the area around the mouth. It has a simple on/off sliding switch to operate it and the comb can be adjusted to suit various lengths of beard. There is another sliding button to lock your choice of length, but I think it's too easy to unlock it by accident; two or three times I did turn on the trimmer and also moved the lock switch at...
