Been looking for a heat mat for a while now but something that I could leave out on my dressing table. This is ideal. A great colour and fits in with my room.The item itself is ingenious. When you place your hot straighteners or other heated products on this mat the area they are placed on turns white! Fantastic. When the area turns pink again you know that they are cool enough to put away. A good size as well so no excuse for burning furniture any more!!Top quality item. Comes packaged in a neat box so would make a great gift for anyone who like me likes to mess with their hair!!!Highly recommended!!!!!!

A sturdy, effective and grippy heat protecting mat!, 19 Sept. 2014

I bought this for my wife a couple of months ago after hearing frequent complaints about her previous mat (made of a thick material that didn’t grip the dressing table).

In short she is very pleased with it, another one of those purchases you wish you’d thought to make months ago.

The mat is very thick and heavy duty so it stays put wherever you put it down, just a shame it’s not really suitable for travel due to its weight and thickness – so you cannot wrap it around the ends of your straighteners, but this isn’t it’s intended purpose and it does make an excellent protector, I think you could leave your straighteners on all day and it would be fine (not sure your straighteners would be though).

The mat is a very good size so that my wife can fit her whole straighteners, tongs and body, on them (measures 21cm x 32cm approx.). The change in colour due to heat (these go white) at first just seemed like a nice touch but...

Perfect for travel, but does pick up dust, 26 Feb. 2014

This product does exactly as you would expect it to. I was impressed by how obvious the colour change was, as when the mat gets hot it turns from pink to white. This is useful as when it turns pink again I know that it is cool enough to wrap my straighteners up in. As well as this the colour is nice and bright and isn’t showing any signs of fading any time soon. The pink is quite girly and goes nicely with my GHD amethyst styler.This heat mat is also perfect for travelling as it is flexible enough to wrap around your straighteners without causing any damage to the heat mat, and it is spongy too so I like to think that it will offer some protection to my straighteners when they get thrown at the bottom of my suitcase!A problem I have found with the mat is that it does pick up dust and hairs. It’s really not a big downside, as the product in general is very good. Just if you are a bit of a clean freak, beware.
