This Wawoo 16 LED Battery Operated Touch Screen Sensor Dimmable LED Mirror is a really useful bedroom/bathroom accessory. It arrived carefully packaged, in a box with polystyrene around the mirror, so I wasn’t worried about damage during transit.

It requires four AA batteries, which are not included, so be prepared and have some ready to install. However, being battery operated means that it is very portable, and can be used in any room, including the bathroom, as there is no need to worry about cables or wiring.

Once the batteries are installed, it has an on/off switch on the rear and a touch screen sensor in the front. The touch screen sensor is very handy and appropriately sensitive and responsive.

There are 16 bright LEDS around the edge of the mirror, so it should light up your face and provide a good equivalent to natural daylight, helping you to apply just the right amount of makeup. I know I am not alone in having experienced the horror...

A better way to apply makeup!, 13 July 2016

This is the first “make-up” mirror I’ve owned and I really wish I’d had one a long time ago. It really does help provide the best even light that is very difficult to achieve with natural light, especially as I don’t have a window that I can sit and face and my window sills are too low to stand at comfortably. This totally resolves the problem and means I can basically get ready anywhere I like.

It is operated by 4 AA batteries – I think I prefer rechargeable products these days but I assume it uses little power so batteries will last a while. I may well invest in some rechargeable AA batteries. Operation is really easy, there is an on/off switch on the back and you then turn the lights on and off by touching the mirror in the small circle towards the bottom. I would have liked it to be a bit weightier in the base to make it a little more stable as I worry that it might be knocked over, especially when it’s on a tiled surface...

You Can Take Your Mirror and Go, It’s So Transportable, 1 Aug. 2016

I can’t fault this mirror really, I can sit down, put my feet up and do my hair with it, or slap on some make-up while having a nice cool drink and chillax at my desk. I was looking at some other desktop light-up mirrors but some seemed a bit weird in that they look like they would blind you. Some are set in just one position as well, so I wanted a mirror that lights up but can move about. This mirror can tilt 180 degrees so you can get it exactly right for your height and for angels when you’re doing contouring makeup.

I like that’s it’s portable, certainly not heavy at all, but it sits solidly enough that it doesn’t tip over from a simple knocking about. There's a fine line sometimes in items being handy to transport and to adjust, however they end up so light in weight that they’re constantly tipping over. Also putting 4 AA batteries inside this mirror gives it a bit of extra weight at well.
