Typical Weleda, another brilliant product., 7 Sept. 2012

I refuse to wax lyrical about another Weleda product lest I sound like some obsessed fan, but I must.

I'm no lotion lover, I've stuck to my creams since a teen despite my porous T-zone, but recently decided to go for the plunge and try a lighter lotion for those warmer blink-or-you'll-miss-'em days. I was convinced they'd be too light, not enough protection against the battles of daily life but I eat my words. This trumps all others: it's paradoxically rich yet light on the skin, leaving a slight desirable clamminess on the skin due to the rich oils. Most lotions are a higher percentage of water, leaving the skin without protection. I worry about fragrance like many others, but thankfully, I don't find this unpleasant. It reminds me of lemongrass, but it's not really as pungent, as bitter and lemony as lemongrass truly is. You'll just have to take a gamble if fragrance is your bete noire. Just the thing for combination-normal skin types and as a base for makeup. If only...

Expected a lighter consistency, 22 Feb. 2015

I bought this to use as a light night cream and found it considerably richer than I wanted/expected, given that it is made for normal & combination skin types. I won't buy it again.Plus points are that a little goes a very long way - so no need to be put off by the 30ml size! Highly concentrated and high quality ingredients as always from Weleda and the scent is gentle and very pleasant in my opinion (a creamy, citus/geranium scent like the gentle cleansing lotion). It certainly seems to be very hydrating. I just expect products that mention "moisture balancing" also, to be a bit less hydrating! Perhaps the high jojoba content and the fact that my skin is delicate are a bad match.If your skin is on the dry side of combination or just plain dry and you don't like the heavier consistency of the Weleda facial creams, this lotion may suit you well, so I'd say don't necessarily be put off by the description that this is for combo skins.
