Superb every-day after shave balm, 23 Oct. 2013

I've gone through many balms in my time, but this one really deserved a review and a full five stars from me.

OK, I'll say first it's a bit runny but it gets absorbed relatively fast and during that time it may feel a bit sticky on the face, but believe me once it's dry (say 10 minutes?), you are left with a very supple feeling on your face. Most of the time when I use this I hardly realise I had shaved that morning. This for me it the best aspect of this balm. It just works. And it lasts all day too. I don't get an itchy feeling later in the day or a tightening feeling after using it.

The scent is very simple. I detect a bit of lemon in the opening. very mild and hidden below the chamomile which becomes ever more prominent. But the resinous incense is also in there too with a very light smoky vibe to it which should not be off-putting to anyone. I have very sensitive skin and shaving can be a very painful experience. I have used a variety of products to try and make wet shaving less of a nightmare....products range from Lab Series to Nivea. This product which costs a fraction of the price compared to the top brands,is fantastic. A small amount gives the most incredible moisturising protection, whilst calming the face after a wet shave. I will be buying this again.Highly recommended.

Very good product by Weleda, easy to apply whilst providing a soothing, clean, fresh feeling post shave. I whole heartedly recommend the product. I like the fact that it is in a glass bottle and not some horrid plastic!
