Brush 'smells' not nice if you are using nice shaving soap. I hope the smell will disappear in time. The safety razor is not a 'butterfly type' you need to unscrew the top to change the blade. The safety razor gives me facial cuts and bleedings regularly. I am using a safety razor from my wifes father-in-law which is over 25 years old, a 'butterfly type' and does not cut my face open. The set is okay and will try to use the safety razor later when my face has been healed.
