Lovely smell but not much of rose to it., 15 Oct. 2016

You can tell this is a high quality soap and it does last, but calling it a rose soap is a bit misleading as it has a very mild smell and with only a hint of rose to it. It is a nice smell, which I would describe as linen with a hint of talc and rose blended in. The soap is smooth and lathers well with only a little water. It is great for hands or the bath and it doesn't make your skin dry at all. It goes well on a flannel or sponge and it is a thick lather rather than bubbly.

The smell is like fresh sheets but with a smell of older soaps. Yardley have changed their soaps over the years and this 'new' one actually smells more like the older ones from years ago. I had heard that Yardley were doing a revamp on their products and that they were returning to their roots and after smelling these new ones, which I have purchased for years, I can tell you that Yardley is returning to its more traditional smell.
