Extensive research over many years has established that fragrances in skin-care products are among the most common cause of sensitizing and allergic reactions. Your skin may not look irritated or inflamed, but in reality below the surface, irritating ingredients including fragrance, can cause collagen to breakdown, and compromise the skin's ability to fight daily environmental stress and damage.
This expensive, fragrant, jar-packaged vitamin enriched moisturiser from makeup expert Bobbi Brown is for a normal to oily skin and has a lovely texture, it contains shea butter, with some very good skin friendly free radical fighting antioxidant vitamins. So how disappointing that they put this formula in unhygienic jar packaging. It contains a good amount of soothing anti-irritant ingredients, but again is let down by the addition of fragrant geranium and grapefruit oil, which are both potential irritating, particularly if you have a sensitive/reactive skin.
