they seem to straighten my hair better and give it shine, 23 July 2015

I have just gone back to buying GHD as I tried Babyliss Pro and Remmington (cheaper versions) Both of which burnt my hair and damaged it. Also my hair went very matt. I had the original GHD for ten years previously. These GHD V gold definately do not heat up as much as older models but for some reason, they seem to straighten my hair better and give it shine. I have quite course frizzy hair. I guess it must be in the plates which by the way, are floating plates unlike original GHD;s. This takes getting used to but overall, although expensive, I think they are better than cheaper versions.
